PARTY SPOTS STILL AVAILABLE! The following six parties have spots available to all Sequoia parents and their friends and family. The party displays and sign-up sheets will be set up in the Kiss & Drop Zone at school this Friday, April 10, during drop-off. Come by for more info, and sign up for a party or two with friends!  If you can’t come by Friday, email Karen at booth_doorlay@yahoo.com to reserve your party spot.

Private Tour & Wine Tasting at Byington Winery aboard the Dreyer’s Rocky Road Bus

IMPORTANT NOTE: THIS PARTY NEEDS 20 ADDITIONAL PEOPLE TO IN ORDER TO MEET THE MINIMUM NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS. Wine lovers will be in heaven for this all-day trip to Byington Vineyard & Winery in Los Gatos aboard the Dreyer’s Rocky Road Bus. This sign-up party is scheduled for You’ll meet the bus in the parking lot of Sequoia in the morning, and travel the one-and-a-half hour trip into the beautiful Santa Cruz mountains. Box lunches, chilled wine and cold drinks will be available on the bus, so you can sit back and relax as you approach Byington.

You’ll be treated to a tasting of five wines during this exclusive tour of their beautiful winery, which will include the vineyard, crush area, production area and stunning storage cave. The tour also includes their 18,ooo-foot, Italian-style villa, sloping vineyards and gorgeous vistas of redwood forests and the Monterey Bay. The Rocky Road bus will drive you home after a relaxing day of wine tasting with friends, so bring a friend or family member along for this special day! Party takes up to 32 people.  Winery restrictions: Participants must be 21 years of age or older.  Bus restrictions: The Rocky Road bus is non-smoking.

Poker Party with the Bautistas at Back Forty BBQ

Shuffle up and deal! This fantastic party will be the talk of Sequoia! Sequoia parents Michele and Beau Bautista are hosting a No-Limit Texas Hold’em poker tournament for up to 200 at Back Forty Barbeque in Pleasant Hill, including delicious food, poker chips and much more. You’ve seen it on TV — now here’s your chance to check, bet and bluff your way to the final table. This is a Las Vegas-style poker tournament, run by a professional poker tournament company exclusively for Sequoia parents and their friends.

You’ll play at real poker tables, with casino-quality chips, cards, music and tournament software … just like the pros! Although you will feel like you’re at the World Series of Poker, this tournament is run in a beginner-friendly fashion. All skill levels are welcome to play. The tournament will include food, prizes and poker. First place raffle prize is a $500 Visa gift card, and second place is a $250 Visa gift card. Third and fourth runners up will get a 500-piece Ultimate Poker Chip Set. Your $50 per person tournament entry fee gets you $1,000 in chips and a delicious Back Forty Barbecue dinner. Backyard Family Movie Night

What could be more fun than a backyard big-screen movie night with the kids this summer? This fun party for families will be in Charlen May’s beautiful backyard, with lots of room for kids to cuddle up in their sleeping bags for a big-screen showing of “The Tale of Despereaux,” rated G. The hosts will provide popcorn, drinks and candy for the kids, and will kick off the movie night with free raffle drawings — one boy prize and one girl prize will be awarded to the lucky kids!

Because this is not a drop-off party, parents can mix and mingle together with light appetizers and cocktails while the kids enjoy the flick. Families are welcome to sign up family friends to come along for the fun. Bring sleeping bags, pillows, blankets and/or lawn chairs — whatever your child would like. Party takes up to 50 people.

Bocce Ball Tournament

Let’s play bocce! Join us and learn to play the fun and social game of bocce ball. Enjoy appetizers and wine while you learn the game, meet new people or visit with old friends.  There will be a friendly tournament at the end of the afternoon to see who’s a true bocce ball aficionado. No experience is necessary … just a good sense of fun and adventure!

San Francisco Double-Decker Bus Pub Crawl

Hit the local San Francisco pub scene with old and new friends from Sequoia. Enjoy touring SF in an open-top, double-decker English bus, which will transport you from pub to pub. Everyone will meet at the Embarcadero Station at 7 p.m., where the bus will pick you up … your drive and guide for the evening will decide which pubs you’ll visit. Cold beer and wine will be available on the bus … cheers! Party takes up to 70 people.

Little Black Dress Cocktail Party
